William Dennis joined Laureate in October, 2001.
As president of Latin America operations, Mr. Dennis
is leading the rapid growth and successful expansion
of the company’s campus-based universities in
Mexico, Chile, and other markets in Central and South
America.
Before he was appointed to his current role, Mr.
Dennis served as COO/CFO of the company's
campus-based operations from late 2001 until
mid-2003.
Prior to joining Laureate, Mr. Dennis was
president and COO of International Assets Holding
Corporation (IAAC), a financial securities brokerage
firm specializing in international securities.
Before that, he served as CFO of Freedom Securities,
Inc., a Boston-based brokerage firm for which Mr.
Dennis led a very successful initial public offering
in 1998. Other senior positions include that of CFO
of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, where he was
responsible for financial activities in more than
30 countries, and a number of senior financial
and management positions with Exxon Corporation. He
spent much of his career living and working in Latin
America.
Mr. Dennis received a master's degree from
Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of
International Management, and a bachelor's degree
from Texas Tech University.
